Being an artist and producing the work has always been the easy part for me. Marketing myself and letting people know how to support my art practice through the products I create has always been difficult and awkward for me.
Art has always been a part of my life, but after university, my design practice has been my primary focus. I was doubtful of how I could integrate an art practice into my daily routine and left it on the back burner for some time.
Like many others, the pandemic presented an opportunity for me dive back into my art and search for my own artistic voice. Since then I’ve just been painting and producing as much work as I can to me slowly develop and strengthening that voice.
Earlier this year I compiled and curated all of the works I’ve produced spanning from 2020-early 2024 to create a catalog. It includes a few sketches as well as some insights behind the work I’m creating.
