Authenticity Card Experimentation

For all of the original paintings that I send out, I include an authenticity card that is hand signed and stamped.

However, I was never satisfied with how they looked. It was a simple card that didn't really have that added zing I desired.

As a child, I loved the idea of collecting trading cards but was not allowed to spend money "paper with pictures." Unfortunately, I never appeased that inner child and have not purchased a single Pokemon card booster pack or built Magic the gathering deck but the love of the trading card aesthetic still remains strong.

What I've been really drawn to is how collectors get their cards graded and "slabbed."

Light bulb!

I can totally make artist trading cards of my work and slab them myself as authentication cards! Why stop at authentication cards? I can make a whole slew of Artist trading cards! It's not a far cry from the menko cards I was already making so here it is! My initial concepts for slabbed Artist Trading Cards MadebyEnger.

The plan is to create a one of a kind slab like this to include with each of my original paintings sold.

I've been having a lot of fun with these :)
