DIY Halloween Costume: Part 2

I actually finished the shell up a month or so ago but never posted an update.

Started off painting the shell with black primer spray paint.

Once I had an even coat and gave it enough time to dry, I got my son to help dry brush some brown onto the shell.

After glopping on some browns and waiting for that coat of paint to dry, I added on some straps to make the shell function like a back pack and also glued on some additional straps as embellishments. I think the shell turned out pretty good if I say so myself. He was pretty stoked to have a completed shell and wanted to play with it immediately. Time to move on to the rest of the costume.
