Its that time again to work on some coasters for Nucleus Portland's annual coaster show!
I'll be doing seven coasters total this year and the above is the refined digital sketch of the first one.
Recently, I've been trying to streamline my process a bit more by incorporating digital refinement of my thumbnail sketches. Once the drawing is where I want it to be, I transfer it to my final surface — paper coasters in this case.
For all of these coasters, I decided to use graphite as the primary medium of choice, but then punch it up a bit with some acrylic paint accents.
So far so good, I've got one down and six more to go.
