The Dreaming Transfer Drawing Time-lapse

In the past my process would be to draw a few thumbnail sketches until I have a composition that I’m happy with. From there I would repaint the drawing directly on my canvas or panel by referencing my drawing which gives mixed results.

These days, for the sake of efficiency and precision, I’ve been scanning my thumbnails (raw or refined) and bringing them into Procreate. I’ll refine my sketches until I’m happy and then print out the sketch to size. From there I’ll transfer the drawing to my painting surface with graphite powder and begin the painting process.

Here I'm using Kaweco 5.6 lead and grinding it down to powder. I'll probably start purchasing graphite powder for future transfers, but for now I'll use what I have on hand.
