Jumping into adding in color here.
Transparent color is layered on top of the monochromatic renderings. Its a slow process but it allows me to use the lights and darks underneath to inform the lights and darks of the colors I place on top of it.
Towards the end you'll see me flood the entire piece with acrylic medium that has been tinted with Paynes Gray to tone back the piece as preparation for me to draw out some more light. It also gives me an opportunity to add some textural elements to the overall piece.
